Guidelines for In-Person Appointments During COVID-19

The following are based on guidelines that have been developed to ensure utmost safety and in conjunction with recommendations provided by Physiotherapy Alberta and the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).

  • You will receive my COVID-19 Screening survey 2 hours before your appointment. Please complete this before your session.
  • Bring appropriate treatment clothing with you to your session.
    • Upper body & neck: loose tank top
    • Low back & lower body: pair of shorts
  • Please arrive at the time of your appointment.

I will be following the infection control guidelines set out by Physiotherapy Alberta and the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC). This includes proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), strict hand hygiene, etc. This includes the following:

  • Disinfection of contact surfaces with Health Canada approved products
  • Wearing of a medical mask during the entirety of the treatment session
  • Hand washing and/or cleaning using approved hand sanitizer prior to and after each session
  • Wearing of gloves as needed (e.g. Acupuncture, IMS)
  • Cleaning of any rehab equipment used during your session following session completion.
  • Billing and rebooking arrangements will be reviewed at the end of your session
  • Contactless payment options will be provided
  • Virtual physiotherapy sessions are still an option and may be an appropriate combination for some patients. This will be discussed prior to the end of the session.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the guidelines below or about the appropriateness of in-person sessions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me by email at hello@andrewthephysio.com.
